Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Prepare portions of compilation, review, and audit engagements, to include documenting the execution of specific procedures performed.
  • Assist clients with routine accounting functions.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with clients and co-workers.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Tackle engagements with minimal supervision, to include taking responsibility for all phases of planning, executing, and directing audits
  • Take responsibility for completing phase of engagements, to include finalizing financial statements and management letters, critiquing and evaluating audit procedures for future improvements, and analyzing time budgets
  • Develop relationships with client’s accounting staff and/or controller, to include understanding business operations, processes and objectives

To be successful in this position, candidates must possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive audit experience in public accounting or a combination of corporate and public accounting experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills

MANAGER – APPLY ONLINE

KTLLP is looking for dedicated, positive, knowledgeable manager to join their audit department. Unless otherwise indicated, all positions are located in Rapid City, SD.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Ability to manage, direct, and monitor multiple engagements, including detail review of files not directly involved in as senior or associate and supervision of more complex audit engagements
  • Review of financial statements and management letters, with emphasis on quality, thoroughness, and accuracy
  • Develop higher level relationships with client’s controller and/or owners throughout the year, with ability to anticipate and address client concerns
  • Identify staff development opportunities and plan and direct firm sponsored CPE

To be successful in this position, candidates must possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive audit experience in public accounting or a combination of corporate and public accounting experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

ASSOCIATE (Accounting Assistance) – APPLY ONLINE

KTLLP is looking for dedicated, positive, knowledgeable associates to join their audit department’s accounting assistance team.  Unless otherwise indicated, all positions are located in Rapid City, SD.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Support clients by ensuring that all transactions and accounting records are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and applicable regulations.
  • Help clients prepare for a financial or compliance audit by reconciling accounts, preparing auditor requested schedules, pre-audit review of account balances or control processes, drafting of financial statements, and other audit preparation tasks.
  • Assist clients with routine accounting functions.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with clients and co-workers.

 

To be successful in this position, candidates must possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA
  • Experience in both auditing and general accounting preferred, to include fund accounting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Desire to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Some travel required, including overnights
  • Ability to adapt to different software programs
