Senior Managers Announced by Ketel Thorstenson, LLPShelley Goodrich, CPA received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Black Hills State University in 2004 and a Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Wyoming in 2005. She joined Ketel Thorstenson in 2005. Her areas of specialization include governmental entities and non-profit organizations.  She has a passion for teaching clients the intricacies of financial reporting, accounting, and federal grant compliance. Goodrich is a member of the South Dakota CPA Society (SDCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). As Senior Manager, her responsibilities include the management, scheduling and strategic planning of the audit department, business development, and seeking training and education opportunities for staff and clients.

Senior Managers Announced by Ketel Thorstenson, LLPSandra Weaver, CPA graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Professional Accounting and Business Administration from Augustana University. She has previous public accounting experience at McGladrey in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Quam & Berglin in Elk Point, South Dakota. Weaver joined Ketel Thorstenson in 2010. Her industry focus includes tribal organizations, nonprofits, foundations, and governmental entities. In addition to audit, her specialties include accounting assistance, board of directors training, internal control studies, and Form 990 preparation. Weaver is a member of the South Dakota CPA Society (SDCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She serves on the Board of Directors for Leadership Rapid City and was a participant in the Class of 2014, and is an enrolled member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe. As a Senior Manager, her responsibilities include the management, scheduling and strategic planning of the audit department, building and ensuring a positive client experience, and training staff, clients, and the public on compliance requirements related to federal grant funding.

Senior Managers Announced by Ketel Thorstenson, LLPJess Weaver, CPA is a 2009 graduate of Black Hills State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Accountancy with a Minor in Business Economics. He joined Ketel Thorstenson in 2010. He is a tax accountant specializing in business and individual taxes. Weaver is a member of the South Dakota CPA Society (SDCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He is a graduate of Leadership Spearfish and serves on the Board of Directors for the Spearfish Chamber of Commerce. As a Senior Manager in the Spearfish office, Weaver’s responsibilities include strategic planning, business development and recruitment. His focus includes tax planning and preparation for corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, and individuals with an emphasis in franchising, multi entity tax structures, business consulting, and heightening the client experience.
